As a professional translator, it is my job to use the tools our languages offer in very specific ways to achieve very specific results.

Reading a board game rulebook feels very different from reading a press release, and different again from an e-learning course or a product catalogue.

Some texts need a creative spark, for others clarity and consistency are key. In all cases, however, an ear for the target reader and an eye for detail are indispensible.

HOW I ROLL

During a translation project, I see it as my mission to work closely with your team to present your products and services in a way that best reflects your brand’s spirit—both in German and in English.

Utmost confidentiality and on-time delivery are just as important to me as constructive and sustainable customer-vendor relationships.

WHERE I COME FROM

I have been a full-time freelance translator for English and German since 2004.

My translation degree from the University of Heidelberg laid the academic and practical foundation for my craft.

Living in Canada, Ireland and Spain has sharpened my sense for linguistic and cultural nuance.
